New Lots on Their Way to Europe: Five Colombian Coffees Still Open to Reserve
Fourteen lots left Colombia in October; five are still open to reserve. All fourteen are expected in our European warehouses in November. The five open lots come from four growing regions (Nariño, Huila, Risaralda and Caldas), and all of them can be cupped first.
Two Pink Bourbons, two farms

Tulameen comes from Martha Solarte’s Finca La Dulzura in La Unión, Nariño, a single-farm washed Pink Bourbon grown at 1,640 m.a.s.l. A slow, 36-hour submerged fermentation shapes a delicate, tea-like cup with notes of raspberry, florals, black tea, chamomile and vanilla. The name belongs to a raspberry cultivar bred in British Columbia.
Bergamot is the second washed Pink Bourbon on its way. It comes from Finca Bruselas in the Kennedy vereda near Pitalito, Huila, where Luis Carlos Gutiérrez runs the specialty side of his family’s coffee production. He took the farm’s coffee off the commodity track, with quality-driven processing, new varieties and small lots. The cup is perfumed and tea-like: orange blossom, florals, black tea, caramel, vanilla and mint. Bergamot, the citrus behind Earl Grey tea, gave the lot its name.
A honey lot from Nariño
Mara des Bois comes from Julio Bastidas’s Finca San Isidro Labrador, also in La Unión, Nariño, the same farm behind our washed La Union lot. This time it is a honey-processed Castillo. Cherries are pulped and dried with their mucilage intact, and a 30-hour fermentation builds body and red-fruit sweetness. Expect strawberry, black cherry, caramel-chocolate and vanilla in a juicy, medium-bodied cup. The lot is named after a French strawberry variety.
Relationship and community coffee
Hannah’s Choice Mitaca is the fly-crop harvest of our relationship-coffee lot from Gustavo Zuluaga at El Caney Estate in Belén de Umbría, Risaralda. It is the same washed Caturra as our main Hannah’s Choice lot, picked at a different point in the year, and a livelier take on the house style: red currant, toasted almond, panela, milk chocolate and orange zest. El Caney Estate holds Rainforest Alliance certification.
Moorpark is a washed community blend from the San José cooperative in Caldas. Rather than coming from one finca, it combines Caturra, Castillo and Typica cherries from multiple smallholder producers into a single, consistently processed lot. Stone fruit, blueberries, roasted almond, dried apricot and brown sugar make for a full-bodied, smooth cup. Its name comes from a classic apricot cultivar.
Reserve before arrival
All five lots are available as pre-order. Reserving ahead means the coffee is allocated to you before it reaches our warehouses in the Netherlands and Belgium, rather than competing for what is left after arrival. That matters most for the two Pink Bourbons, which sit in our Limited & Experimental range, where quantities are strictly limited.
If you would rather taste first, select up to three lots and we ship 100 g samples directly to your roastery, the same or the next working day. Sample requests are reserved for professional roasters.
We work from Pereira with roasters across Europe, and we would rather you know exactly what is coming, and from whom, before it lands.
