  • Decaf Roasting: Because the cellular structure is more open due to the decaffeination process, this bean takes heat faster. Charge lower and be gentle with energy application.
  • Color Change: Decaf beans darken faster than regular green coffee. Rely on temperature and smell (First Crack) rather than visual color cues to determine the drop.
  • Result: Perfect for a late-night espresso or filter coffee without the caffeine kick, but with full flavor retention.

About this Coffee

Descaney is a 100% decaffeinated coffee with a twist. Sourced from Finca El Caney, this lot undergoes a natural Sugar Cane decaffeination process in Colombia, preserving the origin character.

What makes this lot unique is its composition: it is a blend of 95% Washed and 5% Natural Process beans from the same farm, which are then decaffeinated together. This "secret ingredient" boosts the body and adds a layer of dried fruit sweetness often missing in washed decafs.
